On Tuesday, November 26, the 2013 Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge took place at Goff Hall in Woodstock, Ontario. The Oxford Challenge is a community-based partnership that encourages high school youth to consider careers in engineering, technology or the skilled trades. This is accomplished by providing the students with hands on experience in design, construction, and team problem solving by building and programming a robot for an industry modeled task.
OES Engineering personnel were very excited to be involved with the Westminster Secondary School Team from London. Through their insight, experience, and education in technology, OES Engineering offered the students guidance with their design. The Westminster team stepped up to this year’s challenge by winning the Platinum award – first time for Westminster. OES congratulates Westminster on their exciting win.
