Mission Critical
All of OES’s marketplaces can be considered as being “mission critical” applications; the product’s reliability and proper functionality, and the company’s commitment to real-time support, are of critical importance in all of them. The process variation monitors (including OES’s CFM4000 and PVM4000 series) used by many Tier 1 industries help achieve the ‘zero defect’ standard set for them by their customers, despite having to produce parts at ‘parts per second’ speeds and ‘pennies per part’ prices. The electronic controls (developed or manufactured by OES’s Electronic Manufacturing Services division) are used in municipal drinking water and waste water systems, in rail transportation systems, in emergency vehicles, and in the healthcare industry. And OES’s scoreboards are frequently deployed in professional sporting venues (including NBA, NFL and NHL) where literally millions of people may be watching on live telecasts.

Innovation   
OES seeks to be the innovative leader in all marketplaces where they compete. From the patented LPA56 series of non-contact, in-motion, inspection devices and the industry leading CFM4000 process variation monitor series used by many Tier 1 manufacturers, to the introduction of the first LED scoreboards in hockey arenas and other venues; from the introduction of the world’s first ‘electronic auction clock’, to development of GPS controlled baiting, snowmaking, and nutrient management systems, OES seeks to deliver added value to the customer at lower costs through innovation. Over 20% of the company’s staff and resources are continually applied to this pursuit.

Quality
All of OES’s customers in each marketplace benefit from the company’s commitment to quality. The company is ISO 9000:2000 registered (click the BSI logo for more details), and all assemblers and technicians are J-STD-01 certified. The company operates from its own ‘high tech’ facility, including an environmentally controlled and static free production facility. The company is equipped for both thru-hole and SMT products and is RHoS compliant.

Roots
Each of OES’s 4 distinct marketplaces have their roots deep in OES’s history, affirming OES’s commitment to each of these markets, and confirming the customer confidence (and extreme loyalty) that the company enjoys in each one. From the creation and deployment of the first auction system in 1984 in Montreal, OES systems have been used to sell over $4 billion of perishable products throughout North America. OES’s Snowmaking roots also date back to the mid-80’s, and to this day, OES enjoys the continued loyalty of the leading Ski Area operators in both the eastern and western North American ski regions. The development of their first all-LED scoreboard was done partly as a ‘community spirit’ project, in support of a local hockey team. From this early-1990’s project, OES has earned its position as one of this marketplace’s leading suppliers and is now proud to also include NFL, NBA and NHL facilities as OES Scoreboard customers.
